Research from the ODA* showed that, during the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games, 27% of employees took annual leave, 22% worked remotely and 18% travelled to and from work at irregular hours.

Speaker Biographies
Danny Bowerin

Danny Bowerin
Deloitte, London 2012 Sponsorship Manager

Danny's role is focused on maximizing the value of Deloitte's contribution to delivering the Games. The firm has provided over 400,000 hours of expertise to LOCOG to date. Danny also leads the firm’s research into Games readiness and wider client engagement activities on the subject. He helped set up Deloitte's Games Readiness Steering Group.

Prior to joining Deloitte, following seven years as a management consultant, Danny was part of the management team at a leading sport and entertainment sponsorship and marketing agency. Unsurprisingly, he spends his spare time playing and watching sport, especially golf and cricket. Despite his best efforts though, he's yet to see England win a Test Match abroad.


Chris Daniels

Chris Daniels
Lloyds Banking Group, Head of London 2012 Activation - Wholesale Division

Chris has a wide-ranging remit to ensure value is created from sponsoring London 2012. This encompasses business development, community involvement and employee engagement. An Oxford maths graduate with an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Chris' experience covers major corporate customers to graduate recruitment.

Prior to his career in banking, Chris was an officer in the Parachute Regiment for five years. He has also led youth programmes for World Challenge and the Prince's Trust, plus he's a qualified mountain expedition leader and an athletics coach. A keen sportsman, Chris captained his university running team, has represented the UK in the Army and Combined Services Athletics Team and was an Athlete Services Manager in Sydney 2000.


Phoebe Leet

Phoebe Leet
Cisco, Head of HR UK and Ireland

Phoebe has worked at Cisco for eight years in a variety of roles. She joined their HR team within Inside Sales and Systems Engineers. In that role, she built an operations function to deliver the programme of HR work across EMEA. Phoebe has also led HR for sales teams in the UK and Ireland.

Before joining Cisco and progressing her HR career, Phoebe worked in the Strategy and Planning team for O2 and was an industry analyst at Gartner Group. Phoebe's a keen chef who loves country walks and spending time with her family.
